In an era where so many singers are merely entertainers, she once again proves that she is a timeless vocalist in the tradition of Sarah Vaughn to Aretha Franklin. The title of the album “Turn Me Loose” is appropriate since Ledisi is able to let loose so much power with amazing vocal control. Her single “Goin’ Thru Change” shows her remarkable finesse in conveying a level of convincing vulnerability and raw emotions that many contemporary cookie cutter artists are unable to pull off.

Ledisi is a great performer! After seeing her this pass summer I definitely have to say she brings out a range of emotions. From her off the cuff personal comments to her gut wrenching delivery and whimsical playful antics it’s a guarantee you will be entertained! (-:
